inatec presents e-Payment and m-Payment Highlights
inatec implements the new security standards, 3D Secure, into their payment software, powercash21®.
(press1: iBOT) - Payments via the Internet, mobile phones or digital television shall become even more secure, when VISA’s new set of security standards, 3D Secure, comes into effect on a European level, in April, 2002.

The German-based company, inatec GmbH, have already integrated 3D Secure as a feature into their suite of payment products, powercash21®. This service is the result of integrating Modirum’s MDpay Issuer Server into powercash21®. inatec and the Finnish company Modirum co-operate closely in the fields of sales and distribution, integration and customer support for Modirum’s software solutions on the German market.

For their clients already using powercash21®, inatec offers the 3D Secure feature as an update.

Merchants using 3D Secure will benefit from a shift of liability, as they will no longer be liable for chargebacks on "card not present" transactions. The authenticity of cardholders can now be verified in real time, thus ensuring, and also improving the security of electronic online and mobile shopping as it now stands. Merchants shall also ultimately benefit from an increase in customer trust as a result of this. The additional Mobile 3D Secure feature enhances the security of payments made via mobile devices.

With this service, inatec further confirms their leading market position as providers of cutting edge technology for electronic and mobile payment.
