(press1) - Bern, May 15, 2006 - To date, WeRoam has signed up 53 network partners to its neutral and open roaming platform and over the last six months has increased its hotspot footprint by adding 9'500 new venues. Its coverage now spans over 53 countries. 96% of all hotspots support the WISPr industry standard, simplifying broadband wireless internet access for travelling users.

The WeRoam footprint is composed of quality venues covering 260 airports, 2042 business centres, 5596 hotels and 5290 restaurants. Air passengers have Internet access in major airline hubs like London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Orly, Tokio Narita, Atlanta Hartfield, New York JFK and Chicago O'Hare. The WeRoam roaming service is today trusted by leading tier 1 providers: ATT, Orange France and VimpleCom to name a few.
